I am a published author of both fiction and nonfiction. However, speculative fiction and horror are my preferred genres, alternating within the realms of the paranormal, supernatural, and mythological, with psychological connective tissues. I hold a master's degree in English, focusing on Creative Writing and publishing. I graduated in May 2022 from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after successfully defending my thesis, "Ambergris," readable here: https://scholar.utc.edu/theses/761/ While there, I was blessed to be Managing Editor of UTC's online literary journal, Signal Mountain Review from Spring 2020 to Spring 2022, which granted me practical experience as an editor. Beyond writing and art, I love research, and being a researcher, I frequently get involved with grant projects. In the Summer of 2019, I was awarded a Research Fellowship opportunity where I began a project on The Therapeutic Importance of Compassionate Care in medicine. I presented at SoCon at the fourth annual SURF conference in Spartanburg, SC, and at the 2019 REU Symposium. When I'm not busy word crafting or creating new artwork, I love being with my family, napping with my cats, traveling, and tinkering with my car. I also work for my husband's bands as an administrator (The Unsatisfied & Diamond Dogs) and freelance as an advisor for other writers.
